A tour to the places connected with the activities of Alexander Pushkin
to start by 2009
A guided tour to the places connected with the activities of the great poet Alexander Pushkin will start by 2009, when the 210th anniversary of the poet’s birth will be celebrated. The tour from Moscow to St. Petersburg will be organized by the Pushkin International Charity Foundation.
Let us remind you that the Pushkin International Foundation has existed for about two years. It is headed by one of the descendants of the great Russian poet, Kenneth Allan Pushkin, a U.S. citizen. During the time of its existence, the Foundation assisted in reconstruction of Pushkin’s estate Mikhailovskoye in Pskov region (which is a museum now) and the library of the Institute of Russian Literature (the Pushkin House) in St. Petersburg. In addition, the Foundation assisted in publication of the most completed illustrated catalogue of the State Museum of Pushkin in Moscow.
