Formula 1 living legend Emerson Fittipaldi Wants to Organize a Carting Rally in St. Petersburg
Emerson Fittipaldi wants to organize a carting rally in St. Petersburg, the living legend of Formula 1 said at his press conference at the Grand Hotel Europe.
“This is my first visit to St. Petersburg, and I like the city very much,” said Fittipaldi. “The rally in the streets of St. Petersburg would become an excellent PR action attracting a host of tourists from Europe and America.”
The racer pointed out “the wide avenues of St. Petersburg” and “good road coating.” He does not see any obstacles to the rally at the moment, and the idea has been supported by the Carting Association. “It would be ideal to involve a Russian team in the event,” said Emerson Fittipaldi. “I think that Russia has young gifted pilots who could compete with the famous racers.”
